Audi RS Q3
Recoveries of Vehicles with Gannet Guard Systems
found:  Audi RS Q3
region: France, Morocco, Guinea
Is it possible to track and recover a stolen car that was transported by barge along one of France’s rivers and eventually ended up in a West African country? Absolutely! Here’s the incredible story of an Audi RSQ3 that traveled across two continents.
An Audi from a Polish rental company was in regular use on the roads of France. When it “went missing”, we promptly launched the tracking process. The operation was carried out in cooperation with the French police and a trusted repossession company working with Gannet Guard Systems.Data received from the GanTrack monitoring system indicated that the vehicle was being transported on a barge along the Seine, hidden inside one of many metal containers. For the reasons unknown to us, the French gendarmerie, which we notified about the situation, did not seize the Audi at the port of Le Havre. However, this was not the end of the story. Signals received at the Gannet Guard Systems monitoring center indicated that the RSQ3 had arrived in Morocco. After a few days without a signal, the tracking module “reappeared” in the Canary Islands, specifically in Tenerife, before the vehicle embarked on its onward sea journey.Eventually, it arrived in Guinea, located in the western part of the African continent. After spending several days in one of the Guinean ports, we were able to track the RSQ3 once again, and thanks to our guidance, it was seized by military forces. It turned out that the vehicle was ultimately intended to be delivered to Mali, with its recipient—according to unconfirmed reports—being one of the country’s prominent figures.
