In mid-December, Mercedes GLC 43 AMG owned by a Polish car rental company was appropriated in France. Although thieves removed the GPS / GSM module, which was part of the GanTotal monitoring system, we have located the car. It was possible thanks to the radio module, which is also an element of GanTotal.
The car was packed in a container placed on a ship in one of the Belgian ports, from where it was supposed to go to Ghana (a country in West Africa). For procedural reasons, it was impossible to block the cruise, but the police took care of securing the container. The presence of GLC 43 AMG was confirmed at the destination port. Additionally, other stolen cars were found. All of them, including Mercedes, returned to Europe in January and are awaiting collection by their rightful owners.
