The purpose of monitoring is not only to enable tracking of a car after theft. The system also works as an anti-theft protection. That was the case during the attempted theft of a Land Cruiser.
The signal from the GanTotal monitoring system, which reached our headquarters at night, indicated that the Land Cruiser might be stolen. We informed the owner immediately. Our suspicions were confirmed. A camera recorded a thief already sitting in the car. However, he failed to start the engine and fled the scene. This was the second attempt to steal this particular Toyota – once again unsuccessful.
